The Intercultural Cities Programme
What is it?
The Intercultural Cities Programme (“ICC Programme”) is a capacity building and policy development programme run by the Council of Europe. The programme supports cities in reviewing their integration policies through an intercultural lens. 126 cities across Europe and in countries such as Mexico, Australia, the United States, and Japan have signed up to the programme.
What does it do?
The ICC Programme helps cities to develop intercultural integration and to positively manage diversity.
Each city is provided with both analytical tools (including an ICC Index, step-by-step guides and good practice examples) and practical support (training, study visits, multilateral events) to help cities through the implementation process.
